During basic elections kept in 1965, she campaigned with Ms. Fatima Jinnah for rebirth of democracy in Pakistan against the then leader and also thus started her political profession. She acted as Member, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab during 1977, 1985-88 as well as operated as Advisor to Chief Minister during 1993-96 and also 2009-13. An agriculturist, who has gone back to Punjab Assembly for the third term in general elections 2013 against among the sixty 6 seats booked for females and also is performing the tasks of Minister for Population Welfare. She has taken a trip to Egypt, Turkey, USA, France, UK, Europe, Middle East, Afghanistan, India as well as Qatar etc. Her Papa-in-law, Col (Retd) Muhammad Aslam Khan was Member of Punjab Assembly during 1972-77 and also 1977.
