He was elected as Nazim, Union Council No. 29 Khanqah Sharif during 2001-05; as Tehsil Nazim Bahawalpur Sadar during 2005-09; as Chairman, Market Committee Bahawalpur throughout 2003-05 and also as Administrator in 2005. He is an offspring of a well-known Saint of Sub-continent, Hazrat Khawaja Mohkum Din Serani and also belongs to a popular political family members of Bahawalpur.
