Malik Muhammad Javed Iqbal Awan son of Malik Karam Bakhsh Awan was born on November 7, 1951 at Sargodha. He obtained the level of LL.B. in 1976 from Punjab University Law College, Lahore. He was elected as President and also Secretary of Students Union of Government College, Sargodha; got 5 colours in different sporting activities and also two gold medals; and proclaimed athlete of the year in his university. He remained President, Islamic Society, University of the Punjab, Lahore. A businessman, that served as Chairman, Union Council Padhrar, City Khushab during 1979; as Member, City Council Khushab throughout 1998; and also as Member, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab throughout 2002-07, 2008-2013; and also functioned as Chairman, Standing Committee on Food throughout 2003-07. He has gone back to the Punjab Assembly for the third consecutive term as a whole elections 2013. He has taken a trip to UK, USA, Canada and also Saudi Arabia.
