Engineer Qamar-ul-Islam Raja son of Mr. Nousherwan Raja was born on December 6, 1964 in Rawalpindi. An engineer and also an educationist, that graduated in 1987 from University of the Punjab, Lahore and got the level of B.Sc. (Civil Engineering) in 1989 from University of Engineering & Technology, Lahore and worked with design jobs of national importance. He did Postgraduate Diploma in Computer Sciences in 2001 as well as obtained the degrees of M.Sc in 2005 and M.Phil. in Mass Communication in 2009. After certifying CSS exam, he acted as PSO to Chief Ehtesab Commissioner of Pakistan throughout 1996-2000, as well as has abundant experience of combating white collar criminal offenses. He acted as Member, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab throughout 2008-13 and has gone back to the Punjab Assembly for the second successive term in general political elections 2013 and is functioning as Chairman, Standing Committee on Education; as Member, Punjab Examination Commission; and also as Member, Syndicate University of Engineering & Technology, Taxila.
