An entrepreneur, who acted as Councillor, MCL throughout 1998-99; as Chairman, Taxation Committee, MCL throughout 1999; and also as Town Naib Nazim, Ravi Town City City Government, Lahore during 2001-02. He functioned as Member, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab during 2002-07. He went back to the Punjab Assembly in 2008 after being chosen unopposed and worked as Minister throughout 2008-13 holding the portfolio of Excise & Taxation with added fee of Higher Education, School Education, Finance, Literacy & Non-Formal Basic Education as well as Transport Departments.
