Later on he was chosen as Chairman of the Municipal Committee Narowal. He continued to be Tehsil Nazim Narowal for two successive terms. In the general elections 2013 he was chosen as Member, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab as well as is operating as Parliamentary Secretary for Cooperatives w.e.f. 17 February 2017. He has gone to numerous foreign countries including Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Hong Kong, Germany as well as Dubai. His spouse, Mrs Samina Waseem stayed Member, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab during 2008-13 as well as served as Chairperson, Standing Committee on Special Education.
